Methane Leak
Scientists have discovered the Arctic ocean seabed is leaking huge amounts of methane into the atmosphere.  The research published in the journal Science shows the permafrost under the East Siberian Arctic shelf, which was thought to be a barrier sealing methane, is perforated.  Read more here. Report: GM Crops Will Benefit Economy

Genetically-modified oilseed and wheat crops could provide significant benefits to the economy, a new report says.
The Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ABARE) estimates an uptake of GM crops could add $912 million to the economy by 2018.
