Hot Days

January 14, 2009 By jennifer

In the same way as the full moon is supposed to cause a rise in lunatic acts, I hate hot days because it brings out the AGW fringe.  Art Raiche, Sydney

It’s warm here in Stockholm but you can still do the skating:

Perth – foreca.sst is 38 C for today. So far not good for the soothsayers of weather world – very windy this morning, calmer now but where is the heat. Report back at the end of the day once the official temperature is reported on the evening news.

Louis is going to report on forecast 38º C Here is another 38º ie minus 38º F
“The low early this morning at the Grand Forks International Airport was 38 below, the weather service said later today, after first calling it 37 below. That is a record for the date; the previous record was 31 below set in 1979. Records at the airport go back to 1941.”

Coldest temperature on record – that should do something to cool down the Lunatic Fringe – Art.

It’s official Min/Max was 18/40 degrees Celsius for Perth metropolitan area. So BOM over estimated it by 2 C.

This error is of the same magntitude of the 20th century temperature anomaly as pointed by David Archibald :http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=DbAe_g41Zl4&feature=channel_page. Except that its 4 degrees Celsius, rather than the 2 for this one event.
