It’s official Min/Max was 18/40 degrees Celsius for Perth metropolitan area. So BOM over estimated it by 2 C.

This error is of the same magntitude of the 20th century temperature anomaly as pointed by David Archibald :http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=DbAe_g41Zl4&feature=channel_page. Except that its 4 degrees Celsius, rather than the 2 for this one event.
