Methane Leak
Scientists have discovered the Arctic ocean seabed is leaking huge amounts of methane into the atmosphere.  The research published in the journal Science shows the permafrost under the East Siberian Arctic shelf, which was thought to be a barrier sealing methane, is perforated.  Read more here. The New York Times is reporting that: Dr. Pachauri and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are now under intense scrutiny, facing accusations of scientific sloppiness and potential financial conflicts of interest from climate skeptics, right-leaning politicians and even some mainstream scientists.  More here.     Cha I went over there thinking “Jen doesn’t stand a chance” because I have seen those Hufpo and DKoz communities. By some miracle Jen is like way out in the lead, 58 nominations.

    Sorry to be negative on this one. I visit here every day, and I think it is a site filling a very important role, and making available some excellent information. But after the recent disastrous downgrade of the technology used for the blog, making it so terribly slow to get around, I’m afraid in all conscience I could not vote for it as the best blog.
