Bob Carter’s Report on the First Session at the Climate Conference in New York

March 9, 2009 By jennifer

Folks,

You may be interested in my reports from the NY climate conference which are being posted by Quadrant Online.

In my report on session one I comment that:

President Vaclav Klaus reports latest poll from the Czech Republic shows only 11% of people believe that man has a significant influence in warming the climate.

West Australian Joanne Nova’s Climate Skeptics Handbook launched, and a 150,000 print run announced.

“We will win this debate”, says Dr Richard Lindzen, “for we are right and they are wrong”.

For a sceptic he seems very sure of himself. This is more like the rhetoric of fanatacism or relgious zealotry. Still if it makes people feel better …

Oh and see it’s being published in a highly respected journal renowned for its impartiality. Only trouble is how can we be sure it’s not someone posing as Bob Carter? Hmmm … think about it …

    …yes Lindzen’s language is uncompromising.
However, someone is obviously wrong…and so far the biggest mistake made has been by the Al Gore acolytes who decared the debate over, the science settled.
Credibility is an issue, and the general public are very aware that that dogmatic statement was a bullying lie…
