On a Mission to a Low-Carbon Economy: Penny Wong

October 16, 2008 By admin

We have a “moral” duty to tackle climate change and won’t delay action because of the world economic meltdown, a defiant Australian Climate Change Minister Penny Wong told the prestigious London School of Economics last night.  “There is a moral and personal dimension to this debate,” she said.  “We have a responsibility to future generations to tackle climate change while we can. It was now more urgent than ever to act on climate change.  There will never be an easy time to make the transition to a low-carbon economy.” Read more here.

    I think Penny’s wong.

Penny Wong has a prior moral duty to tell the truth. To claim as she does that carbon dioxide is a “pollutant” is a lie, none the less for being repeated so often. The truth is that without atmospheric CO2, we would all be dead within a month at most.

I don’t know whether Wong is delusional or whether CO2 is a smokescreen for a more basic agenda – world -wide socialism.

Our education revolution in the national history syllabus is being implemented by a Stuart McIntyre who is an avowed communist which Keith Windschuttle shows in the latest Quadrant magazine.

That Wong is now calling it a moral duty to reduce our carbon footprint very worrying – for it proves that AGW is a political movement using climate science as a cover. Charles Lyell and Wong’s political ancestors did as much in the early 19th century when the nascent science of geology was hijacked.

It is only now, some 170 years later, that the pseudoscience of which much of geology falls into, is being rejected for the empiricism of observed fact.

Science will win in the end but how much damage is to be inflicted on our economy by allowing these eco-soclialists power.
