    Hoare continues to spread the misconception that the 1986 moratorium is responsible for bringing whale populations back from the brink.
    His poor research fails to show the historical reality that most threatened species were already protected when the mostly theatrical and futile moratorium was brought in.

    Even if I’m not a friend of whaling , methinks that anti whalesr are totally in troubled waters when they state that farming is ” humane” compared to whaling.

    Generally speaking, most logical omnivores consider whaling to be more “humane” than farming for reasons you have already agreed to.
    That said, the word and concept of “humane” means different things to different people.
