Methane Leak
Scientists have discovered the Arctic ocean seabed is leaking huge amounts of methane into the atmosphere.  The research published in the journal Science shows the permafrost under the East Siberian Arctic shelf, which was thought to be a barrier sealing methane, is perforated.  Read more here. Carbon Fools’ Day in London

“October 28, 2008, will go down in history as ‘carbon fools day’, a sad day for democracy and science, a day when opposition parties [in the British Parliament] failed to challenge a dangerously unsound policy, devoid of any real scientific basis, without any hope of influencing climate change.  Ironically, it was also a day when London saw the earliest October snow for seventy years.” Read more here.

    Fascinating, the only three comments that they have published are from people skeptical of global warming. One even wants more carbon dioxide so it can be warmer. Interesting how the media narrative can change that quickly in response to what is possibly just a freak event.
