Gidday Peter,
Having worked in mainly outback places for 40 years your photo did not look that unusual. Does not much of Australia usually look a bit like that ?
I wondered why you waited to post the photo until the region has had some fair rains in June ?

Hey, in defence of Peter. I posted the photo. He sent it to me after we ‘shared’ a window seat between Barcaldine and Longreach and Longreach and Brisbane a few weeks back – on a Qantas flight.
We ‘shared’ the seat/took turns as we both wanted to take photos along the way. He promised to send me some from ‘out there’ and I received the above the same day I posted it.
I posted it because I thought it was good photo.
Don’t read too much into it.
I have heaps of photos I would like to post. But then the whole world would probably yawn. I love photos of landscapes. I have ‘a million’ slides of Madagascar taken in the 1980s that I am frightened with deteriorate in my Queenslander that has no airconditioning. And when will I get around to scanning them in?
