As luck would have it Lubos Motl has a post,
http://motls.blogspot.com/2008/08/oslo-2008-33rd-igc-geologists-are.html

and link for a webcast of the 33rd International Geological Congress in Oslo Norway. It features many wise things said by Prof Bob Carter, and many other climate change skeptics.
http://33igc.org/coco/EntryPage.aspx?guid=1&PageID=5100&ContainerID=11823&ObjectID=12520

I know it's not the same thing but ....
Well there it is.

Surprise plug for me, Jen? Didn't think I had that much glam factor.

Aside from a lineup of remarkable speakers, at last year's conference I found the mix of people surprising. Scientists / academics, from a wide variety of fields, and rural people / industries from a wide variety of, er, paddocks, made up a high proportion of attendees. An unusual, stimulating mix. This bushie left with a bad case of data overload. Looking for the next fix.

Can one of you generous Aussies lend me a couple of bob so I can get down to the conference. Ps. I'm coming from Canada. :-)

Anybody from Perth, or Western Oz? I'm curious about Shark Bay.
