		<description>What would be bad about a northwest passage open for commerce?
Take a hypothetical cargo ship of oranges crossing from the Pacific to the Atlantic. The usual route through the Panama canal, you would have to pay the toll then wait in line in the tropical heat. Some portion of your orange cargo goes bad.
This other way your oranges are kept cool and fresh, you skip the toll, and maybe even arrive to your destination early.
Down side?
The oil company lose revenue of ships taking the longer Panama route, price of oranges fall.

		<description>I think I can see what is coming.  Anything that is bad, is just within normal climate variation, anything that is perceived as good, is evidence that global warming is good for you.
